Yogi Says… It’s Deja Vu Allover Again

This past week I had two people write and ask if I could repost material by Washington D.C.’s 9353, and one person ask about reposting the various artists compilation “The Machines 1990 -1993”. So for those who requested it, and for those who may have missed it the first or second time around…

Washington D.C.’s 9353 … Psychotic psychedelic rockers… art damaged punk rockers… progressive rockers? Any or all of the preceding? I’ll let you be the judge.

Formed in 1982 – 1983 the band broke up by 1986, leaving behind two LPs, 1983’s “To Whom it May Consume”; re-released on the Overdoses At Your Mother’s House” cd in 1993, with bonus tracks and 1986’s “We Are Absolutely Sure There Is No God , re-released on the “Make Your Last Days Loud Days” cd in 1993, with bonus tracks.

A 1993 LP “UFOs sideswiped our reform school bus, that’s why we’re early, mom, they didn’t want us to tell” contains extra tracks from the two 1993 cd releases.

While their recorded output maybe slight, what the group members: Vance Bocknis: Bass, Vocals, Jason Carmer: Guitar, Synthesizer, Dan Joseph: Drums and ‘stuff’ and Bruce Merkle: Vocals and Lyrics did leave us can only be called “unique “… to say the least.

You should buy these cds if for no other reason than the great booklets that come with them. If you like rock concert posters you’ll definitely wan to buy the cds.
