The Wedding Present Series – Part 1

I’ve been talking about doing this for awhile and the time for procrastination is over. Now that I’ve taken the plunge I plan on posting at least once a week, with four or 5 new “album.”

I am not a critic, but just someone who enjoys music, so sometimes I may write something and sometimes I may just let the music do the talking for me.

Except for Hip – Hop, Rap and classical this blog will concentrate on just about every type of “popular” music.

Technical note: All cds ripped with Exact Audio Copy and LAME v3.97 (beta) configured to give an Average Bit Rate of 224.

I hope that you enjoy the music, but remember to support the artists. Buy their cds, attend their concerts and buy their merchandise. Without them none of this is possible.

Without further ado and in no particular order I begin with my favorite band, The Wedding Present. Both Bizarro and George Best +9 make up two of my ten “Desert Island” disks. The liner notes for the expanded Bizarro compares it to “a noise like a heart snapping”, while “The Trouser Press Guide to 90’s Rock ” says the guitars on George Best sound like the guitarists hands were on fire.
